Content Strategy for Personal Growth Blogger

Getting 10,000 monthly sessions in only three months with 40 blog posts feels thoroughly satisfying.

If you STILL don’t have a content strategy for your business blog, this is the best time to create it.

That’s because it works!

Traffic. Conversions. Loyal Readers. Subscribers. Brand Advocates. Sales. You get them all when we work together to create a content strategy for your brand. See what I mean.

But I’m not just here to brag about how worthy my services are… I’m here to SHOW you what is possible for you, too.

This is a breakdown of how my client’s blog transformed—from a stagnant business website into a bingeworthy one—in only four months.

For confidential reasons, I’d have to keep her name and blog URL anonymous.

Without further ado, let me fill you in on everything that has happened so far.

Meet Client A

She’s a self-improvement and productivity blogger who’s been struggling with her blog for about a year before my personalized blog plan for her.

Running the blog was hard because she couldn’t find the motivation to continue.

Great content. Beautiful website design. A couple of products. But she wasn’t getting traffic, subscribers, or sales.

The Challenge

It’s been a year since A started blogging, and she was tired of her forward-backward motion in a somewhat competitive niche.

She wanted obvious progress instead of pushing what didn’t seem profitable and wasn’t exactly sure what she needed to focus on.

When she reached out to me, she had about 12 blog posts on her site that were barely getting 50 sessions in some months.

And her email list was almost non-existent, with only 11 subscribers.

Her main concern was how to grow her blog traffic, which would allow her to build an engaged community and make money.

The Solution

Because it’s not a typical service-based business, my solution was quite different.

I researched some keywords based on what’s trending and consistently searched for in A’s blog niche. She also had lots of ideas, some retracted posts, and countless unfinished drafts in her folder.

We had about 4 months until the end of the year. Our target was 40 solid posts so that readers wouldn’t find her blog bare.

Here are some of the things we did:

  • Website reset
  • About page copywriting
  • Keyword research
  • Website SEO
  • Content outline generation
  • Content writing and editing
  • SEO content optimization
  • Promotion (using a personalized visibility strategy)

Here are some of the results we’ve garnered in only four months, regardless of the Google Core Updates affecting publishers:

Her blog got over 726,000 impressions and 10,000 monthly sessions with ONLY 40 blog posts. The visibility strategy I created did wonders here and allowed the blog traffic to grow by 5,222.8%. It was thorough, targeted, and predictable.

✅ The majority of her audience is from the United States, as she wants. The target here was, in fact, 40%. But, as you can see in the screenshot below, over 80% are from the US.

✅ Readers loved her posts so much that they had hundreds of shares. The highlight is one that currently has almost 1,000 shares (it’ll probably be by the time you read this).

✅ She was tempted to upload (I wouldn’t call it a launch because she didn’t say anything anywhere) one of her previous products in December right before her mid-month OOO and made 3 sales while on break.

She published this product and just wanted one random sale as a sort of validation before she started promoting it fully—and now, she has made not one, but three sales.

✅ She gained 530 new subscribers with ease. Before this content strategy, she had 11, but now, she’s at 541 subscribers—and counting… Her subscribers are interested in her blog content, opt-in freebies, and newsletters.

Quick advice: If you worry about unsubscribes like I used to, don’t. It’s better to have an engaged list than a large list filled with people who don’t give a flying f*ck about your takes. That’s why A removed 23 out of the 27 unsubscribed users.

✅ She’s been accepted into Journey by Mediavine, a top ads program, and is ready to start earning from her blog. Plus, she has opportunities for more affiliate programs since she has good traffic. She could even start sponsorship opportunities and paid promotions for brands.

The Review

What?! 10,000 sessions in just three months and with only 40 posts?!

For the first time in a long time, I feel confident to say I CAN make it as a blogger. The strategy with which you’ve built my business gives me this confidence—and I’m so grateful to you.

Before now, I didn’t know what I was doing. Everything felt exciting at first but quickly became a painful chore when everyone else seemed to be moving forward and growing their traffic except me. I don’t know how to thank you enough because your plan literally transformed my blog growth.

The Wrap-Up

Working on this blog project was nothing short of enjoyable and challenging (in a good way).

It allowed me to think outside of the box—because getting my clients what they want is always top of mind for me.

It’s also challenged me to grow my OWN blog and share strategies to help small business owners improve their visibility and conversions.
