The 2025 Intro: Ins, Outs, & Roundabouts | Sally Ofuonyebi

The 2025 Intro: Ins, Outs, & Roundabouts

I once made a post about the business lessons I learned in 2023 and what I’m doing differently in 2024.

Many people loved and shared it.

Then, I was going through a midlife crisis sometime in Q2 2024 and unpublished many things—including this well-loved year summary/prediction post.

But, if there’s anything I learned last year, it’s keeping track of your “process,” not just the goal, to see how much you’ve TRULY progressed.

It’s easy to say, “I didn’t achieve this… I failed at achieving this goal.” But it’s possible that behind the scenes, you are already 85% close to the goal.

Disregarding the process just because you didn’t achieve the goal is a subtle act of self-sabotage.

So, what am I saying? Track the process, too.

And because of this transformative discovery, I’m bringing it back. And I’ll be doing this every year moving forward.

Once I officially resume the year for work, I’ll share an intro, and right before my Christmas holiday begins, an outro.

If you’re ready for the gist, let’s get into the tea!

My predictions, thoughts, and plans for this year.

2025 Ins vs. Outs

I plan to be more social this year, and by social, I’m not sure if I mean social media.

But, of course, I mean my newsletter (and in real life). I’ll be busy sharing business tips and life updates every single Tuesday. So, if you’re not yet subscribed to my list, join the newsletter now.

I’m also starting a Substack page as an archive for all the weekly episodes I send—and a place to upload random thoughts, because why not?

With that being said, let’s get into my Ins and Outs for the year.

The Ins:

  • Journaling every single day
  • Getting out of my house to hang out. I thought I was an extrovert until the work-from-home life changed my Gemini spirit
  • Making more money while doing less
  • Traveling more
  • Goal setting in your own way
  • Evening works because, lawd, my metabolism needs all the boost it can get
  • Weekly and monthly resets
  • Using AI to simplify my processes because… it’s 2025, duh!
  • Spending more time on my iPad to explore my childhood painting hobby
  • Saving all my money, like last year
  • Reading a book per month
  • Spending more time away with my partner
  • Working with my ADHD
  • Authentic stories once a week in emails
  • Focusing on passion projects
  • Intentional brand building
  • Besties hangouts
  • Learning to swim (because, well, this girl can’t be drowning in international waters)
  • Reverse engineering goals
  • Meal prepping
  • Trying out new things like knitting, styling, and watching the animes my parents’ last born absolutely swears by
  • Building sales funnels that actually sell
  • Creating systems
  • Messy actions over supposedly perfect, inconsistent moves
  • Photo dumps

The Outs:

  • Impulse purchases
  • Worrying about what I have no control over (such as my website analytics or why someone would unsubscribe)
  • Complaining about my weight while I sit at home all day
  • Morning doomscrolling
  • Setting crazy-ass goals solely based on wishes
  • Losing my motivation halfway into the year
  • Having a stagnant email list
  • Working on weekends
  • Not taking photos! Last year was the worst in all my years of taking pictures
  • Placing outcomes above processes
  • Buying fancy journals and quitting after a few pages
  • Letting juicy gists slide instead of taking notes for future emails and content
  • Skipping meals because I’ve got work

My Lifestyle Changes

I don’t know how to feel about the age I’m turning this year (27), but I know the type of woman I want to be by that time.

I want to showcase more of who I am and do more of the things I love—and actually enjoy my twenties because I’ve been grinding HARD for almost seven years.

I barely take breaks. My relationship with food is not-so-healthy. I’m always at my desk, and now my body is feeling it. I have no social life, physically or digitally, despite being the life of the party when I was younger. I don’t make out any self-time, and it has to S-T-O-P.

It’s crazy how much one can change because of the environment, routines, and work.

I’ve really got to resume being social. I don’t crave noise. Or irrelevant talks. Or lavish outings (except, of course, I’m vacationing). But the talkative and extroverted side of me is tired of being in a box and not living life.

The creative side of me would also love to take breaks from work to just be with myself and my feelings.

So, this year, I’m making it a priority to be SOCIAL.

Also, I’m going to make a list of 27 things I want to do/focus on while I’m 27—to challenge myself and because it sounds cute AF. The list is not yet complete, but it will be on my 27th birthday, and I’ll share it with you if you’re on my email list.

Business Goals

1. Grow my email list. I’ve been saying this for the longest time but have always been busy with client work or finding more clients. This year, I’m making it my #1 priority to grow my list and consistently engage my subscribers. I’ll be taking note of what works so I can share it with you.

2. Book 7 website copywriting projects. Writing websites is some sort of love language for me. This year, I want to work with creative businesses, too—not just coaches. Bloggers, wedding planners, virtual assistants, fashion designers, craft makers, etc.

3. Land 3 content funnel projects. This is my latest offering, and I’d love to help more clients create sales funnels that actually sell. The truth is that the regular style of a sales funnel is stale and unpredictable.

You want empowered buyers, right?

Not people who are getting into your funnel confused or coming for a freebie and are ready to hop off the list the very next minute. You want people who are interested in what your offer is about and are signing up to make a decision. That’s what a content funnel does for you.

4. Onboard 3 content subscription clients. If you want a monthly solution that provides you with an effective strategy, content, and results like what my client got, you need this package this year.

5. Help as many business owners, in a cost-effective way, as possible. This will be through my 1:1 strategy calls designed to provide brand-tailored frameworks to help you grow.

6. This year, I plan to (re)launch my shop. Some products are ready while others are still in the works. The things coming to the shop include a handful of products and a few courses.

7. Speak on podcasts. I’ve never been on a podcast before, mostly due to fear and self-sabotage. But this year, I plan to share more of what I know to help online marketers like you thrive on two podcasts.

Content Plan

Bi-weekly blog posts: This year, I’ll share two blog posts per month—and that will be on Mondays. I don’t want to make blogging a random thing, especially as someone who encourages clients to have blogs. And at the same time, I won’t have the time for much blogging, hence the frequency.

Weekly newsletters: The bulk of my content updates will be in the email. Every Tuesday, I will send out a juicy newsletter. So, if you want real and exciting stories that will teach you a thing or two about how to grow your business, you should join my newsletter. You’ll love it there.

Some guest posts: I’d like to share more guest posts on authority sites. My plan is to write and be featured on 3 big sites this year.

Pep Talk to Inspire You

Listen, bestie, let this be the year you quit complaining about your visibility, sales, email list, and mindset. Let this be the year you start getting things done.

During my silent moment last December, I got my word for this year. Can you guess what it is?

The year of DOINGS.

And I’ll be hanging onto this as my reality all year round.

This is also your not-so-subtle permission to start “doing.”

One prayer/mantra I’m holding on to this year with all my might is this:

“I become the proof that God brings His words to pass instead of looking for it.”

The Tea, In Summary

I just want the best for myself—a good life, freedom, and a lot of money. It’s what I can achieve.

So, I’m putting this out here to kind of hold me accountable and let you stay motivated and maybe find one or more ideas you can swipe.

By the end of the year, I’m going to share a 2025 Outro to compare how far I’ve progressed from now. I wish you a year of action steps and great achievements. Have a blast!
